  • The 18th season of Rochester Institute of Technology’s Performing Artists Concert Series starts off with “Trombonanza,” a group of jazz musicians featuring four trombones and a rhythm section.
    The concert takes place at 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 21 in RIT’s Ingle Auditorium, 1 Lomb Memorial Drive, Rochester.
    Mark Kellogg, principal trombonist of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, created this season’s opening performance to pay tribute to the ensembles of famous trombonists J.J. Johnson and Kai Winding.
    Tickets are $5 for students, $15 for faculty/staff/alumni and $20 for the general public.
