  • Jewish community hosts “Say ‘shalom’ to Summer” in Brighton

  • The Jewish Federation of Greater Rochester, in partnership with area synagogues and Jewish institutions, will host, “Say ‘shalom’ to Summer” an end-of-summer bash for all ages, Aug. 23 at Meridian Park in Brighton.

  • The Jewish Federation of Greater Rochester, in partnership with area synagogues and Jewish institutions, will host, “Say ‘shalom’ to Summer” an end-of-summer bash for all ages, Aug. 23 at Meridian Park in Brighton.
    The festivities will begin at 6:30 p.m. with Rosh HaShanah crafts and games, followed by an ice cream social at 7:30 p.m., a movie for children at 8 p.m. and a movie for adults at 9 p.m. The children’s movie will be Shalom Sesame’s “The Sticky Shofar.” The adult film will be “Keeping Up with the Steins.” Popcorn will be provided.
    The event is free of charge. Meridian Park is located at 2025 Winton Road S. The rain location will be the Jewish Community Center.
