  • Sheriff’s Deputies say they found the man who they say was inappropriately touching the feet young children.
Deputies say there were three incidents over the past two weeks where children between the ages of five and 10 had their feet touched while in libraries and bookstores.
Around 7 p.m. Wednesday, an employee of the Barnes and Noble in Pittsford contacted 911 after they recognized a customer at the store as the man in surveillance photos released by deputies.
Sheriff’s Deputies say the man in Barnes and Noble is the same man they were looking for.
Monroe County Sheriff Patrick O’Flynn said, "I would like to thank the entire community for their support and being engaged in this case. The behavior is obviously unsettling and we rely on the residents to help us and be the ‘eyes and ears’ for law enforcement. I specifically want to recognize and thank the employee who called 911 to alert us. We do encourage everyone to call 911 whenever you see something that is out of the ordinary or suspicious."
    The investigation is ongoing.
