Jacqueline Battisti and Jeffrey Battisti bought a four-bedroom, two-bath home at 1739 Rush Henrietta Townline Road in Rush from James Yates and Melissa Yates for $168,500 on Oct. 20.

The 2,799-square-foot home was built in 1962.

Jacqueline Battisti, a fantasy writer, is the author of "The Guardian of Bastet." She works with a private critique group and with the Rochester Writers Association.

She has a bachelor's degree in community and human services.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 39 home sales in Rush during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $148,450.
