Joe Crozier, a former Amerks player and recent American Hockey League Hall of Fame inductee, will attend the Seneca Casino's next "Legends Night" on Friday, Feb. 17, at Blue Cross Arena.
Crozier played in 12 professional seasons. He played with several teams, the Americans among them. Once he retired from playing, Crozier became the head coach for the team during its eighth season. The Amerks set a 48-21-3 record with him as coach.
He spent six seasons as a head coach in the AHL. During that time his team made it to five finals and won three league championships. He left the AHL to take a coaching position with the National Hockey League. He had a career 305-199-46 record.
The Legend Night series brings individuals important to the history of the Rochester Americans back to the area. Two more events are planned for March 9 and March 30.
