The Boy Scouts of America - Seneca Waterways Councils will hold its 11th annual Sporting Clays Classic on Tuesday, July 12.
Individual teams and corporate teams will spend the afternoon testing their skills on the course, and an Army captain will be flying a Chinook Helicopter over the area and landing at Rochester Brooks. Guests will be allowed to tour the helicopter.
The annual fundraiser helps support Scouting programs for local at-risk youth and to support the shooting sports programs at Scout summer camps.
Registration is open from 10:30 a.m. to noon. At 11:30 a.m. there will be an optional practice and light lunch. At 1 p.m. the “Shot Gun Start” begins. And at 5:30 p.m., there will be a dinner, an auction and an awards program.
The Classic will be held at the Rochester Brooks Gun Club, located at 926 Honeoye Falls County 6 Road.
