The intersection of Pittsford Main Street and Monroe Avenue is something to avoid at all times.
North to south, east to west are all challenging, but now someone has added further spice to the mix!
The inside lane going east into Main is a dedicated turn lane which helped those of us going south.
Lately a BMW SUV has taken up station a couple of hundred feet from the corner regularly so that you unwittingly pull up behind it and are trapped. Much of the time there is a long lineup of traffic continuing east so escape can be difficult.
Now, being aware of the problem I look ahead and get in the through lane and exacerbate the delay for myself and all others.
I went to the town office and enquired as to why this had been made a 30-minute parking zone and was told that it was to “limit speeding?”
The responses, though, did not convey solidarity with the decision. You might want to probe into this inspired decision by someone to make a poor situation worse?
