Genesee Brewing Co., the oldest brewery in the state, recently announced its partnership with Dixon Schwabl, an advertising, public relations and digital marketing agency that specializes in unified marketing campaigns and services.
Dixon Schwabl will provide public relations strategy, execution and other integrated services to Genesee Brewing Co. It will focus on continuing to elevate the profile of Genesee’s flagship brands — Genesee Beer, Genesee Light, Genesee Cream Ale, Genesee N.A. and Genesee Ice — as well as the company’s increasingly popular craft brand, Genesee Brew House Pilot Batch.
“Dixon Schwabl is extremely excited to partner with the Genesee Brewing Co.,” said Kim Allen, Dixon Schwabl managing partner. “For our team, Genesee is far more than just a great new client. Genesee is a cornerstone of our region’s economy, a thread that runs through much of our state’s history and an emotional touch point for the millions of people who’ve enjoyed an ice-cold Genesee beer across five generations. While every client win is important to us, this one is truly different.”
Genesee Brewing Co. employs about 600 people in Rochester. Officials at North American Breweries recently announced that it will invest $40 million to create an Eco-Brewery District at the Genesee Brewery in Rochester. The investment will create new jobs, spur development in northeast Rochester and draw tourists to the area.
“While Genesee Brewing Co. and our flagship brands have long been cherished products in western New York, we’re seeing exciting new growth in Rochester and across New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and other markets,” said Carrie Duggan, Genesee brand manager.
The company credits this growth to the increased popularity of Genesee products among millennials, as well as older beer drinkers who have rediscovered the brand in recent years.
“With the company poised for even more growth, Dixon Schwabl is the perfect public relations partner,” Duggan said. “Their deep, personal passion for Genesee was evident the minute they walked in the room, and their ability to effectively communicate the Genesee story in an engaging way will help us introduce the brand to a wide range of new audiences.”
