Geva Theatre Center, 75 Woodbury Blvd., Rochester, will present “The Lake Effect” from Feb. 2 through Feb. 19 in the Fielding Stage.
Rajiv Joseph’s play follows estranged siblings who reunite in their family’s restaurant during a fierce winter storm. Vijay and Priya are forced to consider the future of the business when a regular customer claims to know more of their family history than they do.
“The Lake Effect” premiered at Chicago’s Silk Road Rising, and it receive the Joseph Jefferson Award for Best New Work.
The production is directed by Pirronne Yousefzadeh with scenic design by David Arsenault, costume design by Amanda Doherty, lighting design by Seth Reiser and sound design by Daniel Perelstein.
