Army Reserve Pvt. Andrew J. Swain has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Sill, in Lawton, Okla.
Swain was taught Army history, values and tradition during his basic training. He also completed training in first aid, marksmanship, map reading, combat and field maneuvers.
Swain graduated with honors, and was promoted to the rank of private two.
He is the son of Dawn Marie Swain, of Henrietta, and William Swain, of Hamburg. Swain is a 2003 graduate of Rush-Henrietta Senior High School.
