At the Henrietta Town Board’s May 18 meeting, the board approved a special-use permit for Mighty Taco to come to Henrietta. The plans will now go to the planning board, but the developer's goal is to have it completed by October, said Supervisor Michael Yudelson.

"Everyone's excited about it," said Yudelson, adding that he has never eaten at the establishment himself. "It's created quite a buzz."

At its May 3 meeting, the Henrietta Conservation Board approved a final site plan for the popular fast food restaurant, to be located at 420 Jefferson Road.

The plan proposes a 3,060-square-foot, one-story restaurant with a drive-through.

It is the first Mighty Taco to come to the Rochester area.

Also the meeting, the board:

•AUTHORIZED: Supervisor Michael Yudelson to commission and pay for an updated and expanded map, plan and engineering report on the cost and feasibility of an extension of the Henrietta Sewer District to service the residents of Locust Hill Drive and several residents on the east side of Edgewood Avenue, who are not presently served by sanitary sewers.

•AUTHORIZED: Yudelson to pay bills in the amount of $128,525.99 and $732.

•AUTHORIZED: Yudelson to sign an abandonment of easement for 25 Methodist Hill Drive.

•AUTHORIZED: Yudelson to sign a one-year lease renewal agreement with Bill Willard and Marc Krieger, of Willard Farms, for a portion of land located at 1345 Martin Road for farming purposes.

•ACCEPTED: a memorandum of understanding for the establishment of a payment-in-lieu-of-taxation agreement with Bishop Sheen Ecumenical Housing Foundation, a New York not-for-profit corporation that is sponsoring an affordable senior housing project known as Calkins Corners, to be built on a portion of the property located at 745 Calkins Road.
