The Town of Henrietta Recreation Department has been planning their current Fourth of July celebration since last August.

And Henrietta Supervisor Michael Yudelson said their work isn’t done. On the day of the Fourth of July celebration in Henrietta, recreation department employees will be at the event from 7 a.m. to 1 a.m. the next morning.

But their hard work is so everyone else can relax and have a good time.

Henrietta’s Fourth of July has one of the biggest fireworks shows in the county.

The celebration has been going on for more than 30 years. In 1980, Henrietta started a large display of fireworks due to Kodak sponsoring several displays. While the sponsor left, the town kept up the huge display.

The sheriff’s department has estimated that 40,000 to 50,000 people attended the celebration in past years.

Fireworks will start at 9:40 p.m.

The schedule for the celebration on Monday, July 4 is as follows:
Main stage tent area
3:30 to 5:30, 6:45 to 7:15 p.m.: DJ Marty Sindon
