Rochester Institute of Technology's Eight Beat Measure competed this past weekend in the Varsity Vocals International Collegiate A Capella MidAthletic Quarterfinals held at Nazareth College.
The group placed second out of nine groups and will advance to the semifinals at Rutgers University, which will be held next month. Cornell University's The Chordials finished in first place and also will compete in the semifinals. Syracuse University's The Otto Tunes finished in third place.
Eight Beat Measure's Shawn Falzone also took home an award for outstanding vocal percussion.
Eight Beat Measure is RIT's original all-male a capella group on campus. They began in 1987.
