Testimony is continuing today for the trial of Faheem Abdul Jaleel, charged with first-degree assault. Police say he admitted to stabbing his cousin, 13-year-old Samina Qasim, last June in Henrietta out of self-defense.
Police say Abdul Jaleel stabbed his cousin about nine times in the neck with a kitchen knife on Myrtlewood Drive. She spent several weeks in the hospital.
The defense says Abdul Jaleel attacked his cousin in self defense, but prosecutors say he did it in a fit of rage.
